The Amadeus Awards 2026 once again celebrated the local music scene on Friday evening, 6th of March at the Marx Halle in Vienna. Austria’s most important music award honored the most successful artists of the year. A total of 52 nominated acts competed for the coveted trophies.

Folkshilfe wins “Album of the Year”
The most important category at the 2026 Amadeus Awards went to the Upper Austrian trio folkshilfe. The band was awarded Album of the Year for their fifth studio album, “bunt.”
