For ten years, the duo Sophie Cavez and Baltazar Montanaro have guaranteed poetic folk in which communication and improvisation merge with influences from Belgian, French and Hungarian traditional music. Together with singer and percussionist Juliette Minvielle, they founded the new trio Saraï, which means ‘I become’ in Occitan. This trio draws on a selection of Occitan poems written by women that deal with femininity in all its forms. We get musical anthologies of Occitan love poems written by women, from the Middle Ages to the present day. Get ready for timeless finesse where violin, accordion and percussion accompany an angelic voice.
