At the Balfolk on March 9, one can dance to the dynamic music of the group ‘Madlot’ . The name Madlot comes from a Dutch dance that was popular in the nineteenth century. Now you can dance a cercle to it.
Madlot is a dynamic collective of musicians around Judica Lookman and Bert Lotz .
Meeting and inspiring each other from different musical traditions has become a new theme: from young to old, and from all kinds of regions. And Madlot wants to let you hear how that sounds this afternoon. They play folk from the Netherlands and France: Scottish, waltz, polka, mazurka, rondeau, andro, hanterdro, etc. etc.
