Originally from Belmullet, Ireland, David Munnelly was brought up in a very musical household. He learned to play musical instruments from his grandmother, and developed a love of traditional music, particularly the accordion and melodeon. Known for his colourful style, bold bass fingerings, complex arrangements and modern compositions. David exudes notes of the Roaring Twenties and the energy of a box of dynamite. All of this is combined with a masterful talent for letting a melody take its time with a sound that’s totally incomparable and brilliant.
