
Kimmo Mattila, the long-time Chairman of the Finnish Accordion Association (Suomen Harmonikkaliitto ry), was invited to become the Honorary Chairman of the Finnish Accordion Association at the association’s November meeting.
Seppo Lankinen, who had served as the association’s Vice President for decades, was invited to become an Honorary Member of the association.
Music pedagogue Pasi Raukola (from Ulvila) was elected as the new Chairman of the Finnish Accordion Association for the term 2026–2027. Raukola works as a lecturer in accordion at the Palmgren Conservatory in Pori. He has been a member of the Accordion Association’s General Council for several terms and served as the Vice Chair of the last Union Council.
The current chairman Reijo Ahonen was elected as the Vice President of the association.
The other members of the Board for the term 2026–2027 are Kirsi Jaakkola (Loppi), Marjo Kinnunen (Jyväskylä), Jonna Pirttijoki-Helanen (Ilmajoki), Kaisa Ristiluoma (Rovaniemi) and Visa Wirén (Jyväskylä).
