Forty years of international career, a worldwide success with gold and platinum records, collaborations with giants such as Dominguinhos, Sivuca, Stéphane Grappelli, Ron Carter, Hermeto Pascoal and Yamandou Costa… in spite of everything, ‘Borghettinho’ (as his fans affectionately call him), remains 100% an authentic and charismatic gaúcho, with his long hair, hat and baggy jodhpurs; His shows are unforgettable events, a brilliant and elegant mix of traditional forms such as milonga, chacarera and chamamé, as well as baião and samba, combined with elements of jazz, tango and chamber music, all reinterpreted with incredible virtuosity on the accordion, resulting in his inimitable, acrobatic, direct and playful style. Renato is one of the few musicians from southern Brazil to perform regularly in Europe and since 2000 also in Tunisia, the United States, Canada, Uruguay and Argentina.
At the FolkClub, Borghetti returns (on the bill as a duo with Arthur Bonilla in December 2011) with his stratospheric quartet, composed of the best musicians from Rio Grande do Sul: Pedro Figueiredo (sax and flutes), Daniel Sá (guitar) and Vitor Peixoto (piano). by https://www.torinoggi.it/
