Hummel – Autumn course – 22 to 24 November 2024
at the Ebernburg in Bad Münster am Stein (town of Bad Kreuznach)

The Hummel courses – weekends with music and dance around hurdy-gurdy, bagpipes, diatonic accordion and co. – have been taking place twice a year for over 40 years!
Lessons take place in small groups, tailored to the level of knowledge of the participants. The instructors of the ‘Hummel’ are a team of experienced musicians and course leaders from all over Germany. In addition to various instrumental and ensemble courses, there is plenty of bal-folk, sessions, talking shop, listening and a small music market…

The ‘Hummelkurse’ have been held twice a year since 1980. Originally intended exclusively for hurdy-gurdy, they were soon expanded to include diatonic accordion, bagpipes and now also nyckelharpa and concertina.
