XXVIII 2026 Kokkola Winter Accordion Festival – Finland

The XXVIII 2026 Kokkola Winter Accordion Festival will be held from February 14th to 21st, 2026 at five venues in Kokkola, Finland: Central Ostrobothnia Conservatory, Guild Bar, Kallentori, Rosso and the Music Centre Snellman. The Executive Director & Artistic Director is Raimo Vertainen, and the Festival Producer is Sonja Vertainen.

The festival will open on February 14th with a Valentine’s Day concert at the Koivuhaka Shopping Centre from 12 midday. Performers include the K30 orchestra, Jazzcombo, accordion groups and much more.

On February 21st, the Guardia Nueva Orchestra conducted by Raimo Vertainen will perform their “Great Entertainment Concert” at 2pm and 6pm at the Music Centre Snellman in Kokkola.

The festival will conclude with a Closing Party held at the Guild Bar on February 21st at 9.30pm. Entertainment will be provided by the MäSä Duo, winners of the Konsta Jylhä competition.

The duo, which consists of Lauri Kotamäki (accordion and vocals) and Kyösti Järvelä (violin and vocals), perform a variety of music with “speed, twists and turns”.
